The Revenant – a masterpiece

The Revenant is one of the best movies ever produced. The film is very long, and very good. I have watched it at least 3 times. The movie is one of rare examples, where cinematography does make sense and upgrades experience. Filming nature in an interesting way is not easy, but what we can see in the movie is something not only interesting, this is a kind of insight into nature. From cinematographic point of view, the movie is absolute masterpiece.

On the other side, the story itself and how it reveals with time keeps our attention all the time. Huge part of visual side of the movie is nature itself: trees, snow, mountains, rocks, rivers, and still all this is not boring.

And the last part: actors performances – spotless. Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t disappoint, and Tom Hardy, as usual – gave excellent performance.
